I'm a new addition to this Blog... I guess I should tell you about myself. These are a few things about Holly.
I'm a dog. They say I'm a Shepherd-hound mix. I about 5 or 6 month old. I'm not sure 'cus I don't know about calendars and such.
I lived in the Valley... for those of you from away that is the Annapolis Valley. I got lost. Kind people found me and tried to find where I lived. They put up posters with my photo and placed an ad in the paper, however no one came for me. The nice people could not keep me and gave me to the local animal shelter. There I met Fern and her husband they were very nice to me. I live in the shelter for a while, there were four big dogs with me. There were cows in the field. I liked to bark at them.
On November 26th a lady came to the shelter. I asked if I could go home with her. She said YES! I went on a road trip in a car all the way from the Valley to Sackville. I was very good. I went to my Grandmom's home and met Lady, I love them both. I was so excited I p**d on the floor. I didn't know I should ask to go outside.
The next day I went on a car trip to the city...if you are from away we mean Halifax when we say the city. This is a small province, so if you say you're going to the city everyone will know where you mean.
The lady told me I was going home. I met three cats. They seem to live on top of the fridge.
The lady put me in a tub and gave me a bath. I cried. After I was dried off she gave me a yummy treat. I had to wear a hand-me-down collar, it is much too big for me. There were hand-me-down toys too. I was so happy.
The lady...she said she is my Mom now, took me in a car to the Vet. I got weighed on a big scary scale it said I weigh 11 kg. The Vet lady checked me all over and said I was very healthy. She gave me treats and stuck me with two needles. They hurt, I cried. Mean Vet lady.
I've live in my new home for almost a week. I've found all the cat toys and I'm keeping them. I chewed the ears on a papier mache rabbit Mommy made a long time ago.
I've gnawed on the antique tool box my Mommy uses for a coffee table. I like wool a lot and have chewed holes in two vintage blankets. I've chased all the cats. I tried to get the cat Pandora to play with me however she hisssssssed and hid. I've chewed Mommy's hands and feet. I sometimes come when Mommy calls Holly. I'm teaching Mommy to give me treats when I sit. I'm also teaching Mommy to fetch, she throws my toys and I let her go pick them up. It is good exercise all that walking and bending.
I make my own bed.
There is a trail in the woods behind our home, Mommy and I go there for long walks. I saw ducks. I stopped to read all the p-mail. Sniffed all the tracks... deer, dog, wild cat, coyote, and people. We crossed a brook where the trail was washed out, Mommy almost fell in the water. We took pictures on the trail.
This is is me relaxing. I like to bury my chew treats behind the cushions of this chesterfield
A happy little dog on the East Coast.
