I've been keeping a secret. I didn't want to say too much until we were sure.
Over the last month my Dad has been working very hard with his physiotherapy, doing all his exercises, walking (assisted), getting out of bed unassisted, eating real food, speaking very well, making the nurses and staff laugh etc.
We asked that he be reassessed for eligibility to go into the Rehabilitation Centre stroke program.
You may remember initially we were told Dad scored a 3 out of 100 and may get to a 10 out of 100 well today after a week of testing we were told his score is now 55 out of 100!
Dad will be moved to the Rehabilitation Centre either tomorrow or Monday - there he will begin a six-week plus program to make the best possible recovery. I am a very realistic person however I'm also a very hopeful daughter...
Happy on the East Coast.
